Only a few days away from the biggest fight in his career, Malcolm Wellmaker is now a full -time professional MMA hunter.
On Saturday in UFC Kansas City, 30-year-old Bantamweight Malcolm Wellmaker made his expected UFC debut after obtaining a contract through the Contender Series of Dana White.
The heavy bantam weight came on stage with a huge victory and took Cameron Saaiman in the first round with a brutal right hook.
Despite fighting in the Prime Minister Mixed Martial Arts Promotion, during his Vechtkamp Wellmaker continued his full -time job as a welder.

Wellmaker stops his full -time job after Dana White gave him $ 50,000
Although the 30-year-old has been a full-time welder since 2015, this Monday marked his last day that worked on the market because he officially killed his job to become a full-time hunter.
And the reason that Wellmaker could do that was because UFC boss Dana White gave him a $ 50,000 bonus for his spectacular KO win in Kansas City.
“So many people have bought my story, so here is an update,” Wellmaker started his statement on social media.
“I just put my job! Saturday night I made my UFC debut, scored a first round knockout and earned a $ 50k bonus. Today I became a full-time hunter.
“In 2015 I came to the Pipe Fitters Union in Augusta, Local 150 as a student. Since then I have worked full -time in the exchange while I chased my dream. All my career swore that if I would earn the UFC and earn a $ 50k bonus, I would stop my job, and today it finally happened.
“My goal is now to take full advantage of my time in the UFC by fully committing itself to fight, and if everything goes my way, I never have to pick up my welding hood again. But if I do that, it will not break my heart because I love the trade and I am blessed to have done it,” Wellmaker continued.
What is the next step for Malcolm Wellmaker in the UFC?
Undoubtedly 'the machine' will rather than start looking for action later after his fight during his fight with Saaiman.
A fight that could be logical for the 30-year-old next is a collision against someone of the species that Victor Henry, who has fought under the UFC banner for several years.
