World champion Mikaela Mayer with multiple weights has offered to set her world title on the line for Holly Holm to return to the ring.
Holm is already a Hall of Fame boxing champion, but retired years ago to pursue a career in the UFC. There she got the biggest upset of all time when she eliminated Ronda Rousey at UFC 193 in November 2015.
At the beginning of the year, Holm left the UFC despite the fact that they had fights on her contract. After years of rejecting box chances, it now seems that she likes to come back in the ring and what unfinished things come up with.
Mikaela Mayer willing to defend a welterweight title against Holly Holm
During a recent performance at Henry Cejudo and Kamaru Usman's Pound for Pound Podcast, Mikaela Mayer was asked to call her all time top three of the boxing of women. She chose Claressa Shields, Katie Taylor and herself and noticed that older champions had no top talent pool.
This meant that people like Laila Ali or Holly Holm did not qualify, and Cejudo then asked whether the UFC legend could become a world champion in today's era. “I didn't watch enough of her boxing fights,” Mayer admitted.
“The one I have seen everywhere is the one she was beaten by the ring. But I know she is great and I have a lot of respect for her. If she came to my division? No, she wouldn't be because she wouldn't beat me. She could try; Mayer vs Holm!”
Holly Holm has 'unfinished things' in boxing
Earlier this year, Holm chose to leave the UFC despite the fact that she still had two fights to follow her last contract. She is known for landing fighting evenings headline and large places on large maps, but apparently believes that there are still opportunities in the boxing ring.

She wants some of the biggest names in the sport, including the winner of the huge Netflix trilogy between Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano on Friday 11 July.
“When I boxed, I fought at 140, 147 and 154,” Holm told Ariel Helwani after her departure. “I never fought at 135 in boxing, so sometimes I have the feeling that it is unfinished things, I go back and the people who have belts are with that weight (Amanda) Serrano and (Katie) Taylor.”
