Randy Couture Details '200 MPH' Racauto -Crash

On Wednesday, Couture addressed his fans in a video report that was shared on Instagram.

The 61-year-old, who carried a connection on his right arm, described the crash and his journey to the hospital before thanked everyone who sent him well since the incident.

“I wanted to give you a small update. I came home yesterday from the Burns Center. They took great care of me last week,” Couture began.

“That process started in Kansas City last Tuesday. I went from the course training in my Pro Moda car and tried to get my license to become a drag racer this year. Of course I am not on my way to the best start.

“I have corrected, and that shot me in the wall on the right side of the track. Probably with about 200 miles per hour. I ricoched and went all the way to the left wall, because you had to do it well. That crushed the gas tank in the car and started the fire.

“At that time I did not realize that I was burned from the heat and everything that was going on.

“I am established. They put me on the board, cut out the rest of my clothes, brought the helicopter there and flew to Kansas City. It would have been about a 45 -minute ride.

“It was not a life problem, but it was certainly the most efficient and best way to bring me to that first aid. I have been there a few broken ribs on my left, before.

“The burns, have started treatment, and all that stuff, which is very intense … they all heal very, very well. Fortunately I have one [skin] graft. So far, not needed, so that's good news. “
