UFC legend recalls the one time he saw the ‘not so happy’ Dana White who could make Jon Jones vs Tom Aspinall happen

The fight that everyone wants to see seems to be off the table at the moment after the recent comments from Jon Jones.

Jones seemed to confirm that he is not going to fight in a series of social media messages where he went back and forth with the fans.

The UFC Heavyweight Champion has also set why he does not feel the need to fight the interim champion with Jones who compares the Tom Aspinall -Matchup with his collision with Ciryl Gane.

Although Dana White has not been in the spotlight lately, a UFC legend believes that if there is someone who can make this fight happen, this is the UFC president.

Chael Sonnen has seen what it is like when White turns the switch and he thinks this can be the difference in the negotiations, if negotiations even take place.

Chael Sonnen remembers that he saw the 'angry' Dana White during the structure to his rematch with Anderson Silva

In a recent interview with Bloody Elbow, Chael Sonnen spoke about the current lecture on Jon Jones who fights Tom Aspinall and what the next steps could look like.

He said the matchup will become more likely if Dana White starts to get frustrated about how the process takes place.

“While that time is starting to beg, I believe that you are going from Nice Dana, not so happy Dana and not so happy that Dana is very good at doing deals. I will just share with you. But I don't think Jon has experienced that.”

Sonen has previously stated on ESPN's 'Good Guy/Bad Guy' that he has only seen the 'angry' side of the UFC president once.

When he was asked to work out that experience, the UFC Hall of Famer spoke about how White decided that the time before playing games was over when there were complications with Anderson Silva for the rematch of the middleweight champion with Sonen on UFC 148.

“It was not on my behalf. I happened to be present and saw it. It actually had to do with the other side, which at that time was Anderson Silva. I was in a plane with Dana, and we went to Brazil to do a press conference and to announce this fight. Initially my second fight with Anderson was supposed to be in Brazil.

“We actually went outside to inform the Brazilians that we moved it back to Vegas. Long story about it that never came out completely, but it had to do with the Olympic Games and the preparation of Rio, and they thought this would be a little too big for their city to treat at the time.

“It was actually a request from the government, and Dana took it on the chin, as if he couldn't do it, but that was really not the case. He did that to help the government, and it was Anderson who had to do with angry Dana, I was just a witness.”

Jon Jones apparently put the ball back in the court of the UFC

And don't forget, you can't strip a man like me at the moment, I give the belt free. Veni, Vidi, Vici. 😘
