UFC legend would favor Conor McGregor to beat ‘washed’ lightweight contender in potential White House return

Many have written off Conor McGregor at the moment in MMA, but Michael Bisping still sees at least one matchup in which he would overcome.

McGregor has not participated in the cage since July 2021, when his trilogy against old rival Dustin Poirier ended with the Irishman who suffered a horribly broken leg. That result marked his second defeat against 'The Diamond' in the room of seven months, and many expect it to go down as the last act of McGregor as a UFC hunter.

A canceled competition with Michael Chandler in 2024 further convinced the MMA Massa that the former two-division champion was done. However, there was a potential spark to illuminate the fire of his comeback in the form of the planned event of Donald Trump on the Witte House Lawn.

McGregor immediately raised his hand for the celebration on July 4, 2026, and Bisping thinks he would be wise to insist on a well -known opponent.

Michael Bisping would choose Conor McGregor in Response Michael Chandler Clash

During a video that was recently uploaded to his YouTube channel, Bisping looked ahead to a potential McGregor -backlow in the White House.

Although 'The Count' admitted that the Dubliner is probably far from the hunter that he was a few years ago, he identified a suitable matchup that McGregor could see who may have the lead over a colleague veteran in a similar position.

“Of course he wants to make a comeback. He wants to be on that map of the White House,” Bisping said in response to a recent video that McGregor shows that he is being tested drugs.

“Fair play for the man. I respect the fact that he still wants to fight. … Will he still be the same hunter? I doubt it very much. Things go further, simple if that. McGregor is getting a little older.

“Who would he fight? Well, of course there is the competition with Michael Chandler,” Bisping continued. “I would like to see him come back. He is an interesting fight, 100 percent. (It is certainly a fight that I would give Conor McGregor to win.

“The version of Michael Chandler that we saw against Paddy Pimblett was washed, he was ready, he was over the hill, he looked terrible.”

Pimblett destroyed Chandler on UFC 314 last April and dominated him on his way to a third round of TKO who left the American with only two victories in his seven octagonal performances.

Another UFC light weight wants a chance for Michael Chandler

If Chandler still wants to avoid a potentially long and infertile wait until McGregor comes back, he has at least one other hunter who in the meantime shares the cage with him.

Terrance McKinney recently called Chandler. The 30-year-old is responsible for the fastest finish in the lightweight history of UFC and has ended incredibly 16 of his 17 professional MMA victories in the first round.

“T. Wrecks' still has to break into the ranking with 155 pounds, but has won his last two fights. McKinney recently submitted Borshchev via Viacheslav Borshchev in 55 seconds to UFC 317, an event characterized by Ilia Topuria that eliminated Charles Oliveira.

'Iron' also has a preference for fast starts, a fact that Chandler almost finished Oliveira on UFC 262 to win the title. With that in mind, McKinney proposed a fight to see who the best first round hunter of the UFC is.

“Lol Twrecks vs Iron Mike let's see who is the best first RD person in the lightweight division,” he wrote on X.
