UFC lightweight fan favorite previews potential fight against Dustin Poirier as he talks long-awaited comeback… ‘Blood and fireworks’
Last September, UFC lightweight fan favorite Rafael Fiziev suffered a devastating knee injury in his main event against Mateusz Gamrot.
The No. 11 lightweight has not fought since as he nursed his injury. However, 'Ataman' recently revealed that he is ready to make his comeback but is struggling to find a fight.

Rafael Fiziev previews a possible fight against Dustin Poirier as he provides an update
Now that he's ready to return to the Octagon, Fiziev hopes he can entice Dustin Poirier into a fight in what could be the final fight of 'The Diamond'.
False rumors recently surfaced online that a Fiziev-Poirier fight was in the works, but the former UFC interim lightweight champion came out and squashed the rumors.
Despite this, the explosive striker admitted in a recent interview with Submission Radio that he would like to fight Poirier and provided an update on his UFC return.
“I agreed to all the dates, it doesn't matter which date, but yeah, I'm just waiting for the UFC,” Fiziev began to explain.
“I don't know, a lot of people talk about Dustin, I've seen it on the internet. Of course it's good if I fight Dustin, he's a legend and former champion, for me it's a miracle if I fight Dustin, but I'm not sure about that.
“It certainly doesn't look like my fight against Gaethje. I've definitely changed some things with my game plan and my mental… No matter who fights Dustin, it's always a good fight.
“It's definitely fireworks and blood and maybe even a knockout,” Fizieiv continued.
Rafael Fiziev asked for a rematch against Mateusz Gamrot, but Gamrot refused
The 31-year-old has revealed that after his unfortunate defeat to Mateusz Gamrot, he asked for a rematch against 'Gamer', but the Pole turned down the offer.
Following his victory over Fiziev, Gamrot picked up a win against Rafael dos Anjos and then fell short against Dan Hooker at UFC 305.
“Honestly, after my last loss to Gamrot after having surgery, I talked to my manager and told him I wanted a rematch because I still want to feel that wrestling pressure and wrestling pressure. I want to fight an elite wrestler like him. . If this fight happens against Gamrot, that would be perfect,” Fiziev added.
