Retending MMA is not easy, and it is often the most challenging part of the career of a hunter.
Former champions struggle mainly with the idea of retirement. The career of a hunter can often go in one of the three ways: retiring such as Khabib Nurmagomedov but asking questions unanswered, quietly retiring and doing the same thing, or retiring after a whole series of losing, such as Anderson Silva or BJ Penn , their legacy on the target image to the new generation of MMA fans.
UFC Seattle was the planned pension event for perhaps one of the largest UFC Bantamweight hunters of all time, Dominick Cruz, but it seems that he has to leave it another time.

Dominick Cruz injured and from UFC Seattle Retirement Fight with Rob Font
Cruz was one of those former champions who wanted to retire with a ranked competition in Rob Font. Fans expected a double retirement fight for Cruz, such as Jose Aldo, and were stunned by the decision to throw in font with 'The Dominator'.
Regarding his motivation, Cruz took the font fight for fun.
Unfortunately, as reported by Cageside Press, Cruz is from his UFC Seattle fight with an injury, which further postponed his pension fight.
The last fight of Cruz was against Marlon Vera in 2022, where he suffered a highlight-reel main kick in a fight he won. Now the 39-year-old Cruz will be moved later or quietly retire.
