The path from David Martinez to the UFC was one of the most unique, after he ever won three fights in one night during a brutal tournament.
This Saturday in UFC Mexico City, the 26-year-old prospect David Martinez will debut in the promotion after gaining a contract after an impressive victory over the Contender Series of Dana White.
The 11-1 Pro takes on Saimon Oliveira, who has had to win a victory since a member of the promotion in 2022, disappointing with 0-2.
Before UFC boss Dana White gave him his shot at DWCS, 'The Black Spartan' completed a real Spartan-like glove, fighting three times in one night.

David Martinez once won three fights in one night to earn UFC opportunity
In 2021, Martinez fought in Global's Bantamweight Tournament, which means that he had to fight three times in one brutal night.
The tournament included eight Hopefuls of 135LB, one was former UFC veteran Francisco Rivera JR, who met Martinez in the final.
In his first fight of the night, 26-year-old Alex Gonzalez struck unconscious after just two minutes from the first round. Martinez then won a unanimous decision against Alan Cantu Garcia before he met Rivera JR in the final and played him in 17 seconds of round two.
“Fighting three times in one night is really difficult. That was really incredible,” Martinez told MMA Knockout.
“It was one of the best nights of my life,” Martinez continued.
Although one-night tournaments are extremely rare in MMA, it was not a completely new experience for Martinez, who had previously participated in similar kickboxing and karate tournaments.
Martinez comes in his UFC debut behind the back of seven impressive versions, five of which were due to the interruption.
Other exciting prospects that compete at the UFC Mexico event
With this Saturday as the debut fight of Martinez in the promotion, he is not the only exciting prospect that participates in Mexico city.
'El Loco', Manuel Torres, competes in the greatest fight of his UFC career so far when he takes on Drew Dober in the Co-Main event.
Also on the map is one of the most exciting and eccentric flight weight hunters in the promotion, Ronaldo Rodriguez, who takes on Kevin Borjas in a guaranteed banger.
Raul Rosas JR returns to action again and takes on Vince Morales and wants to score his fourth UFC victory in a row.
