UFC Mexico City weigh-in drama sees commission questioned amid multiple scale controversies

With UFC Mexico City on Saturday evening, the hunters participated this Friday in their pre-Fight-movement.

Former UFC flight weight champion Brandon Moreno is planned for the event in Headline when he accepts the recent title -challenge Steve Erceg in the main event.

Also on the UFC card from Mexico City is the home drills star Raul Rosas JR, who wants to claim another UFC record after he has become the youngest hunter ever fighting in the promotion.

Fortunately for the fans, 'The Assassin Baby' and ERCEG both weighed before their main event, because Moreno wants to earn a new chance on the title of 125 pounds.

UFC Mexico City Star Questions Committee Next Weight Miss

Although the most important events avoided controversy with their early weightings, not everything was cut and dry as their walk to the scale.

The Ultimate Fighter -Aluin Austin Hubbard is planned to hire Marquel Mederos on the Prelims, with Hubbard in the hope of returning to the profit column by stopping in the profit reak of Mederos.

Mederos hit the scale at 156 pounds and kept his end of the bargain, but there was some controversy when Hubbard got on the scale later in the day.

Initially, after stepping on the scale, the committee member claimed the results that Hubbard weighed at 157 pounds, causing the limit with 1 pound.

Hubbard, however, immediately interviewed the member of the committee and claimed that before he weighed on the official scale, he weighed 155 pounds using the Backstage test scale.

After Hubbard's complaint with Marc Ratner, the Vice President of the UFC of Regulatory Affairs, Ratner called on the box being brought to the stage.

'Thud' Hubbard then weighed 156 pounds in his second attempt.

Ronaldo 'Lazy Boy' Rodriguez misses weight for UFC Mexico City Fight

That was not the only controversy that took place during the weightings, because one of the brightest prospects in the promotion, Ronaldo 'Lazy Boy' Rodriguez, also missed the weight for his planned fight.

The 25-year-old took the biggest victory of his career so far when he grabbed a unanimous decision on Ode Osbourne on UFC 306 in September.

Rodriguez is planned to compete against Kevin Borjas, and for their fight he missed weight at 157 pounds and chose not to reduce any further weight.

Fortunately, the fight is still on and Rodriguez will forfeit 20% of his wallet to Borjas.
