Davis almost had Mitch Ramirez gone with a choke in the first round, before he was in the second against war and eventually came to the top. And he quoted his training in the old gym of Mike Tyson in New York as what brought him through the boxing exchanges.

After his strange defeat to do Ziam, Mike Davis knew that he needed a great performance against Mitch Ramirez as a huge favorite. He delivered that almost in the first few minutes, got the back of his rival and locked a choke, but he couldn't get his hand in the right place.
He spent almost the entire first round on the back of Ramirez and tried to lock up the right choke. And when the second round started, they started fighting on the feet and the underdog even landed large and came close to their own finish.
In the end, Davis managed to show his superior striking while landing a big knee that he followed with strikes. It marked the second knockout of the night, which is littered with finishes on the point of writing.

After his big win, Davis spoke with Daniel Cormier in the Octagon about what had gone well in his performance. He emphasized his boxing in the night and noticed that he has tightened his skills in the Cats skills, the Ko Boxing Gym of Cus d'Amato in New York.
