UFC removes trio of featherweight fighters from roster including Kron Gracie

The final round of UFC selection took place at £ 145.

In the past month we have seen UFC veterans Jimmy Flick, Bruno Silva (middleweight) and others lose their place on the Roster after successive losses.

As more and more prospects are signed at the UFC such as Bellator champion Patchy Mix (or again signed if you are Sean O'Malley's opponent Kris Moutinho), veterans are eventually led out of the grid.

The last remaining gracie in the UFC is reportedly one of them.

Kron Gracie, Hakeem Dawoden and Connor Matthews are no longer on the UFC schedule

Cousin of the legendary UFC 1 winner Royce Gracie, Kron Gracie is a remarkable name that will no longer be on the UFC roster from Thursday.

The UFC removed Gracie as well as former Top-15 Vederweight Hakeem Dawod and Contender Series Alum Connor Matthews from the schedule (H/T: FullContactmtwf on X).

Gracie and Matthews both come from three consecutive losses, while Dawode is 1-3 in his last four fights.

Gracie, Dawoden and Matthews fought together 17 times in the featherweight division of the UFC, with common opponents between them.

UFC -career -recaps

BJJ star Kron Gracie came to the UFC with a 4-0 record and veteran Alex Caceres submitted in his promotion debut in 2019.

Gracie lost to Cub Swanson in a 'fight of the night' later that year before taking a four -year break. Gracie was defeated by Charles Jourdain in his return of 2023 and last December a TKO loss for Bryce Mitchell on UFC 310.

'Mean' Hakeem Dawoden has a winning UFC record of 6-4. Dawode once had a five-field win racing at 145 pounds with a #14 ranking list next to his name. He entered the UFC with a 7-0-1 record in 2018.

After beating Julio Arce and Zubaira Tukhugov, Dawode lost the unbeaten Movsar Evloev, Julian Erosa and Cub Swanson. The last UFC victory of Dawode came in 2022 about 'the Ultimate Fighter 27' winner Mike Trizano.

DAWOOD has not fought in the UFC since 2023.

Dana White signed a 7-1 Connor Matthews a victory over the Contender Series in 2023. He was 31 years old, one of the oldest signing sessions in the history of the show.

The New England Cartel Fighter went 0-3 in the UFC and lost to Dennis Buzukja, Jose Delgado and the undefeated Yadier del Valle.

Matthews fought twice this year alone and made his last UFC performance at UFC Vegas 106 in May.
