The UFC shared the last about the health of Toshiomi Kazama after he had been taken to the hospital after UFC Vegas 109.
Bantamweight Elijah Smith, son of the ultimate hunting legend Gilbert Smith, earned one of the wildest knockouts of the year during the UFC Vegas 109 Prelims.
Smith, alum of a Dana White's Contender Series, moisture against Bantamweight Toshiomi Kazama during the UFC Vegas 109 Prelims. It was invoiced a steep climb in competition for Smith after his first Octagon test with relative ease.
Smith put a wrap on his second UFC victory by hitting Kazama on his head while catching his opponent in a triangle. Kazama immediately became unconscious and medical staff rushed the octhoek to treat the Bantamweight talent.

Smith's Knock -Out led to many praising reviews, but also emphasized the brutal character of mixed martial arts. Minutes after the fight, the UFC broadcasting team told viewers that Kazama was taken to a local hospital, so many feared that the worst possible outcome.
Smith's Slam was one of the only different knockouts of its kind in the history of UFC. The most famous Slam -Knock -Out in the history of UFC came through Jessica Andrade against Rose Namajunas to win the Strawweight title of the UFC ladies.
On UFC Vegas 109, Backstage -Inal and reporter Karyn Bryant shared an encouraging update about Kazama's health status after his knockout defeat.
Bryant reported that after Kazama had been taken to a local hospital, all CT scans came back negatively and he is expected to be dismissed soon. It is a positive update for Kazama after one of the scariest knockouts of the year at UFC Vegas 109.
Kazama is 1-3 in his UFC official period and came from his first UFC victory on Charalampos Grigoriou through entry in the second round in August 2024. He earned a shot in the promotion after an impressive victory on the way to UFC in June 2022.
In the meantime, Smith is now driving a seven-fermented series in his next UFC performance and is getting a step closer to a potential place in the Bantamweight top 15. But Smith's Ko was not the only horrible moment of UFC Vegas 109.

UFC Middleweight Eryk was different from the losing end of a horrific spinning elbow of Christian Leroy Duncan in their UFC Vegas 109 fight. Duncan won the fight through the first round of TKO to continue his rise in the division and otherwise walked away with more than a loss.
UFC CEO Dana White went to social media to share a nasty cut that would otherwise suffer from Duncan's elbow in the cage. Otherwise it could retain quickly and there was no extra injury because of the blow.
In other UFC Vegas 109 -Nieuws, Welterweight Uros Medic earned a brutal knockout about Gilbert Urbina on the Prelims. Joselyne Edwards played Priscila Cachoeura in a bantam weight fight for women.
