Ismael Bonfim has issued a statement of social media to tackle his controversial defeat at UFC Vegas 102.
After his brother, Gabriel Bonfim, Khaos Williams put Cold Out Cold to impress UFC Welterweight champion Belal Muhammad 'Marreta', entered the Octagon to confront Nazim Sadykhov at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas on Saturday evening.
Towards the end of the round, Sadykhov landed a perfect question mark that his opponent left with a cut under his left eye. Bonfim blinked and squeezed when he returned to his corner after five minutes of fighting.
The cut was far under his eye, so it didn't seem like something that would lead to the interruption of a doctor – but that is exactly what happened between rounds before UFC fans expressed their frustrations online.

Ismael Bonfim speaks out about the loss of UFC Vegas 102
Viral images seemed to show the Brazilian that he could see well before the fight was canceled.
Hall of Famer Daniel Cormier expressed his confusion during the UFC Vegas 102 broadcast before some of the fans claimed that a 'massive misunderstanding' led that bonfire was pulled out of the fight prematurely.
After the fight, Sadykhov revealed that the damage to Bonfim's orbital bone was the reason that the fight was stopped.
On Sunday, the man himself appealed to his health and the doctor's interruption in an Instagram video.
“Thank tank I'm doing well,” said Bonfim in Portuguese.
“I have taken some exams on the eye and head and it's good. It's just a cut here and the eyelid.
“I couldn't see well and the doctor decided to stop the fight.
“The strategy worked, I was confident and felt good and put my game on [and] My rhythm. But let's not take anything away from my opponent, it was a beautiful kick that caught me right on my face. “
He endorsed the clip: “Thank you for your affection and support! I'll come back! “
Nazim Sadykhov rejects the controversy question
Sadykhov did not want to hear about the controversy around his victory over Bonfim at UFC Vegas 102.
While people started speculating about a language barrier that possibly led to the doctor's interruption, Sadykhov collected media members that it was his kick who led to the fight being called.
“I don't want to hear that there was a language barrier,” he said during his press conference after the fight.
“I don't want to hear that. I caused damage. I kicked him hard. We were already set up those main kicks. I don't know if they have caught the backstage in the cameras, but we put that head in the back.
“We worked that main kick in the back. That main kick came all night, more of me in the boxing department, in the wrestling department. It came all night.
“I don't know what the language barrier or what it was, but I looked at that man before the start of round two and he didn't look like he wanted to be there.”
