UFC star names the one thing Georges St-Pierre’s career is missing to challenge Jon Jones for GOAT status

Jon Jones continues to lead the goat load of the UFC in the eyes of many, but things could have played differently.

Few debates have been so polarizing as the discussion about who holds the crown as the greatest of all time in the UFC and MMA as a whole.

From Jones and Demetrious Johnson to Georges St-Pierre and Anderson Silva, a large number of names are often thrown around behind passionate arguments.

A former two-division champion is strong behind the current claim of the current heavyweight king on the throne, but he does admit that one colleague legend could have fighted if he had only a fight.

Henry Cejudo says that Georges St-Pierre had to defend the title of the middleweight against rival Jon Jones in Goat Debate

The subject of whom the greatest of all time originated during an episode of Jake Shields' Fight Back Podcast next to former flight weight and Bantamweight UFC champion Henry Cejudo.

After having felt the talents of St-Pierre at UFC 129, where the Canadian broke the record for the most successive welterweight title defenses, Shields 'Rush' appears to support.

Cejudo quickly disagreed with it and outlined that St-Pierre had to defend the middleweight belt that he claimed in what turned out to be his last fight to rise to the level of Jones.

'F – the GSP. I don't agree with you [that he’s the GOAT]. He's not the best of all time, “said Cejudo.

“I think there was – I think if he even defended his middleweight title when he came back, that would have really cemented him,” added Cejudo. “Jon Jones would say:” Hey, guy! “”

Georges St-Pierre does not see Jon Jones as the best of all time

Interesting is that although he would not imagine himself as the leading candidate, St-Pierre Jones still does not see the goat.

While he listed some of the potential contenders during a Q&A that was founded prior to the recent UFC 315 Pay-per-View in Canada, 'GSP' did not even place 'Bones' under seven names.

'Well, there are many guys who can be there. First, Jon Jones, Demetrious Johnson, Anderson Silva, Khabib [Nurmagomedov].

“Also, [Conor] McGregor could be there because he brought the sport to a different level. Prime Jose Aldo, Prime Fedor Emelianenko, there are many boys who can be there. “

St-Pierre further revealed that his top position goes to Royce Gracie, which is considered one of the most influential figures in MMA history.

“Royce Gracie is my number one for me.”

What is certain is that the debate will remain incredibly subjective, and perhaps St-Pierre will get more backers while Jones Flak continues to get alleged 'dive' Tom Aspinall.
