UFC star’s team suggest recent loss may be a blessing after severe injury led to uncovering cause of huge health issues

Last weekend a former dual headliner suffered her third consecutive defeat in the Octagon.

After two back-to-back losing the main event, Amanda Ribas looked around at UFC Abu Dhabi.

July 26 did not go her way after Ribas was stopped by Tabatha Ricci in the second round after a devastating finishing sequence.

The Brazilian has been one of the best straw and flight weight competitors for a while, but this dip in shape recently dropped three places in the rankings from 115 pounds to the #10 place.

Ribas revealed that she would need facial surgery after she was injured by a huge elbow in the fight, which now led to some positive benefits for her career, despite the setback.

Amanda Ribas' father and coach reveals her earlier health problems that are hopefully behind her now

Amanda Ribas had to undergo a facial surgery after her loss against Maycee Barber in June 2023, with her recent loss in Abu Dhabi who seemed to worsen the same injury.

Since then, the 31-year-old has participated four times, starting with a victory over Luana Pinheiro before he suffers three consecutive defeats.

Her father and coach Marcelo Ribas recently revealed to MMA who fights that as a result of the face injury she sustained in the hairdressing conflict, the Brazilian hunter suffers from some major health problems.

He said that after having put a metal plate in her face, it was disrupted during the Pinheiro fight, which led to ribas that had to do with pains, fainting and attacks.

After he has solved these problems through various methods, Ribas' recent loss for Tabatha Ricci and the need for more operation after a huge elbow that marked the beginning of the end enabled them to be able to cause the record.

“She could hardly train since the Luana fight … [Amanda] was a psychiatric and psychological treatment thought that it was [the problem]”Said Marcelo.” And if it wasn't for the elbow, we might not have discovered it. It is God, Brother. Thank goodness we have discovered what caused pain, fainting and attacks since the Luana fight. '

Amanda Ribas can reinvent itself as soon as she is healthy again

With her father and coach who went so far to say that Amanda Ribas was almost unable to train since her last victory in the Octagon, her health problems undoubtedly influenced her performance in the Octagon.

After having 13 UFC fights under her belt since debuting in 2019, it seems that the Brazilian has to take some considerable free time, but that is perhaps a good move for her at this stage of her career.

Ribas has a number of big wins in the Octagon and until last weekend she had only lost from the highest contenders in her weight classes.

If Riba's can leave her health problems behind and become healthy, she can look to define themselves in strowing and flying weight divisions.
