UFC told that not giving undefeated star Alexander Volkanovski title fight should be ‘illegal’

It remains unclear who will be the first to challenge the second regime of UFC Vederweight Champion Alexander Volkanovski.

This is after Volkanovski defeated Diego Lopes on UFC 314 in April to return to the throne at 145 pounds after a difficult period for him.

The knockout losses of Volkanovski for the current rivals Islam Makhachev and Ilia Topuria had left many behind that the time of the Australian at the top on MMA's largest stage was over.

But 'Alexander the Great' proved that they were wrong with a vintage version against the loading Lopes in Miami. And he will now try to repeat that display when he returns to defend the gold.

In terms of the next opponent of Volkanovski, many believe that the meritocratic choice is clear.

Ali Abdelaziz Slams UFC for taking Movsar Evloev as the next challenger of Alexander Volkanovski

Not many hunters have built a winning run like Movsar Evloev and have not been rewarded with a title shot.

The undefeated Russian has won all eight of his UFC fights, most recently against Elite competition in Lopes, Arnold Allen and Aljamain Sterling.

But a so -called non -entertaining style and the absence of finishes in the Octagon seem to have wanted to avoid the UFC to place Evloev opposite Volkanovski.

That, the manager of the featherweight competition, says Ali Abdelaziz, should not be allowed.

“It is illegal for him not to fight the next one for the title, because who is above him, right?” Abdelaziz told ESPN MMA.

“It's strange that this guy is not even in the conversation. … They say he needs one.”

What Alexander Volkanovski said about fighting Movsar Evloev

If the UFC remains firm on their alleged anti-supplementary attitude, they would go against the wishes of Volkanovski.

The Australian wants to test himself against the undefeated 31-year-old, because he sees the potential matchup as a further opportunity to improve his already illustrious legacy in sport.

Even before his return to champion status was confirmed, Volkanovski outlined his plans to focus on Evloev, which he 'certainly deserved' of the following occasion.

'I tell you I'm going outside and I'm going to win the belt and I'll call [Evloev] So he can probably wait if he wants, “Volkanovski said at the Ariel Helwani show.

“I win that title and I fight him three months later. Tell me the date on which we can do it and I will call the shots that night.

“I think Movsar definitely deserves.”

Nevertheless, Dana White and the UFC seem to be more convincing, perhaps in the form of another fight from another contenders for Evloev.
