Josh Emmett will hope to set up a title fight with a victory in his collision with Lerone Murphy on April 5, while the UFC Fight Night brings: Emmett vs Murphy to Las Vegas.
Josh Emmett and Lerone Murphy will strengthen their claim for a title fight by winning this match-up. Emmett has not fought anymore since he eliminated Bryce Mitchell on UFC 296 in December 2023. That victory was at the back of two losses, including in an interim title fight against Yair Rodriguez. The eighth arranged hunter hopes to get back in shape again when he takes on Murphy, who sets his undefeated record on the line.
Murphy comes from seven straight victories in the Octagon and rises to tenth place in the ranking in the process. His most recent fight was at UFC 308, in which he achieved a unanimous decision victory on Dan Ige and the Englishman will expand his 15-0-1 record and go to a fight for the featherweight title, after Ilia had left Topuria de Riem.
