One of the most excited of the prospect to fight on the Witte House Law is the very first simultaneous two -part champion of the UFC, while McGregor teased a comeback after Trump's announcement.

But the level of enthusiasm of the Irishman is not shared by every hunter …

Matt Brown says 'A fight is a fight' after Conor McGregor and others argue for the White House Showcase

During a recent episode of The Fighter vs. The Writer on MMA Fighting responded former welterweight Jager Matt Brown to talk about a UFC event that took place at the White House -Gazon in the summer of 2026.

'The Immortal', who retired after 16 years in the UFC in 2024, shared a more traditional assessment of things that 'a fight is a fight', regardless of location and location.

“For me, fighting in the White House, it doesn't,” said Brown. “But maybe I am a different person, maybe everyone looks at it differently.

“For me, tell me that they have a fight in the White House, it would be cool to do it. If not, whatever, a fight is a fight.”

Conor McGregor said that the White House event would motivate him to come back

Prior to the latest comments from McGregor, many had written off every hope that the former camp returned to active competition.

The Irishman has not entered the Octagon since July 2021, when McGregor broke his leg on UFC 264 late in the first round of his trilogy fee against Dustin Poirier. With more controversy outside the cage and clear focus on his role as BKFC co-owner, McGregor's UFC career looked ready.

But the 36-year-old has insisted that the chance to fight outside the White House would motivate him to set up a comeback.

“To return to the White House with my sniper -nouvulus would be a very intriguing offer and would bring me back to concentrate correctly on my return,” wrote McGregor on X.
