UFC’s ‘Greatest Ever’ fighter reveals the two hardest hitters he ever fought during legendary career

Demetrious Johnson is generally considered one of, if not the greatest mixed martial artist of all time and during his legendary career he has had to deal with some of the best.

Demetrious Johnson has been competing since 2011 in the most important promotion of MMA and since then he has participated in various eras of the best flight weight and Bantamweight hunters in the world.

During that time 'Mightymouse' made the walk 18 times to the UFC Octagon and the record for most title defenses in the flying weight department.

Johnson withdrew from MMA last September and ran away from his fast Stint in one championship, but since then he has been called to get out of retirement to assume UFC fly weight champion, Alexandre Pantoja.

Demetrious Johnson reveals the hardest batters with whom he is confronted during the legendary career

The CV of the 38-year-old is absolutely filled with top names from the sport, including former UFC Double Champion, Henry Cejudo, who fought Johnson in two legendary fights.

One of Johnson's most memorable victories came against Ray Borg on UFC 216 when 'Mightymouse' potentially the most unique finish in the UFC history scored when he caught Borg with a flying arm bar.

However, Johnson's career was not only filled with monumental highlights, like any other hunter, he had to overcome adversity on different occasions.

With the career of the 38-year-old said and done, Johnson has unveiled the two most difficult batters with which he was once confronted.

In 2022, after he joined one championship after a historical trade with the UFC, in which Ben Askren went the other way, Johnson booked an epic mixed rules against Muay Thai Superstar, Rodtang.

Rodtang is best known for its devastating power and unraveled chin, and Johnson experienced both sides of it.

“When I got clean, it felt like John Dodson hit me. John Dodson and Rodtang are the only people who actually touched me so damn hard that I thought: “Oh my God, that hurt,” Johnson admitted in a video on his YouTube channel.

Johnson fought John Dodson in the first defense of his flight weight title in 2013, and came into the fight, Dodson had built up a reputation for his one-punch knockout options.

Who is the greatest hunter of all time?

The debate 'Greatest All Time' is one that continues to spark in MMA with the wide majority that the current UFC Heavyweight Champion, Jon Jones, is looking for the biggest ever.

That is a pick that is agreed by UFC icon, Joe Rogan, who mentioned Jones as his greatest hunter of all time, while he also gives his props to Johnson.

Despite the fact that 'the greatest of all time' conversation is personal preference, the majority of MMA fans Jones, Johnson, Anderson Silva and Georges St-Pierre in their lists are the greatest MMA athletes ever.
