It was only a matter of time before UFC veteran Vinc Pichel called it a career.
The 42-year-old was the oldest hunter on the UFC selection for almost a year after former heavyweight champion Andrei Arlovski left the most important promotion last summer.
Pichel fought in the Octagon a total of 12 times and made his last performance in UFC Mexico City in March, where he at the youngest hunter Raul Rosas Jr. came from the UFC on the map.
'From Hell' Pichel suffered from his loss on the third straight when he fought against Rafa Garcia and lost in a controversial decision about the distance.
A month away from the defeat, Pichel has decided that it is time to continue.

“The biggest thanks of you are Big John McCarthy for the chance to become more than I have ever dreamed. Without Big John I would not have had the chance or had the base I do today as a man and a hunter who was just a tough, stubborn child when we met for the first time …
Pichel continued to thank his team and the people who helped him where he is today, so that the fans leave a positive message while hanging the gloves.
“Well, this is it, while I walk away, I will leave you with this: do what feels good, do not apologize that you are, be yourself, learn what you can do from who you can, no regret and above all, have fun!” Pichel concluded.
