Unai Emery would not be attracted to the future of Emiliano Martinez after the goalkeeper of Aston Villa was visibly emotional after the 2-0 win over Tottenham.
Mail Sport reported earlier this month that Villa can consider offers for Martinez this summer, whereby the club will probably do a considerable sale before 30 June, because they – like many clubs in the top flight of England – remain in line with the best spending rules of the League.
Winger Leon Bailey appeared in the same way when the players thanked the supporters not long after the last whistle.
Asked about Martinez's attitude and whether this could be his last performance for Villa in their home base, Emery said: 'Now we are focused on the game we play of course. It's the last game here and I don't know.
'We will see about the team, the players, but of course they respond to the field at the moment. They respond and are aimed at how we prepare and play every match.
'Of course Leon Bailey plays less because I know that everyone responds very well. They perform well. And we are going to play Manchester United on 25 May for the last three points available this season.
'For us the weather will be very important that everyone is focused. And of course we will see about everything, how we try to get better the next season when we come back. '
Villa knows that a victory at Old Trafford might not be enough to secure Champions League football after Chelsea United on Stamford Bridge had overcome on Friday.
Although Villa and Chelsea are at points, the blues have a much better goal difference.
