Undefeated UFC prospect who impressed Dana White is brutally cut from promotion before ever making his debut

Before he could even make his entire UFC debut, Ukrainian prospect, Danylo Voievodkin was suspended.

At the end of last year, the UFC closed a different season of Dana White's Contender Series with a number of prospects that earn contracts in the most important promotion.

DWCS has become the most important path for the promotion to sign hunters and stars such as Mauricio Ruffy and Carlos Prates, came through the series, where Ruffy kept showing his potential.

Nevertheless, the most recent prospect of coming from DWCs has demolished his career before he even gets his debut in the UFC.

Danylo Voievodkin cut from the UFC after the failure of drug test

Last September, the 24-year-old Ukrainian prospect, Danylo Voievodkin entered Bailey Schoenfelder in the first round of his DWCS fight and earned a UFC contract after having made an impression on Dana White.

Since then, however, the promotion has released a statement about Voievodkin, which shows that the 24-year-old 24 months after testing positive for Meldonium is forbidden for the competition.

“The evidence in this case thought that somewhere after Voievodkin participated in his Dana White's Contender Series event in September 2024, where he received a UFC contract, he used Meldonium after he was on board in the registered test pool of the UFC's Anti-Doping Program,” read an official statement.

The young prospect was recommended to make waves in the UFC Heavyweight Division after completing all seven of his professional battles through the first round entry.

Young Prospect breaks his silence after removal from UFC

Unfortunately for the 24-year-old he will now be confronted with the task to try to rebuild his career with his name that is now infected.

The Ukrainian, however, went to his social media to break his silence about the failed drug test and the subsequent removal, and claimed that he did not receive any advice from his management throughout the situation.

“Many questions about this, I will say that the test was negative a month and a half later, Meldonium was taken almost a year. They offered me to confess and then they would cut it in two for a year, I stood my ground. But my management did nothing in this situation,” he claimed on his Instagram story.
