Under-pressure Motta says he has Juventus backing

Juventus boss Thiago Motta said that the owners of the club were still behind him, despite the house of last weekend that struck by Atalanta in the Serie A.

Juventus, who were beaten 4-0 last weekend by the third placed Atalanta, is fourth in the table and nine points behind leaders Inter, while preparing for the eighth placed Fiorentina on Sunday.

It was the first time in the history of the Serie A that Juventus gave four goals in a match against Atalanta.

The Motta side had also left the Champions League and Coppa Italia earlier in the season and are ready to end the season without silverware.

“In our profession the coach is always examined, and that is fair,” said Motta, as speculation about his future Wervlelde in Italian media.

“I have been satisfied with the support of the owners in recent days. The club has shown totally confidence in me.”

The Bianconeri were beaten by PSV from Europe in the play-offs of the Champions League and then had a Coppa Italia quarter-final output to Empoli about penalties last month.

“My future is not the priority. The priority is [Sunday’s] Agreement. We have to play a great game. We come from a competition where the result was difficult to digest, “he said.

“In the beginning we were disappointed, we were angry. But we continue and start again. Going back is what we do. I see both the disappointment and the determination to respond immediately.

“I am the first to discuss myself, and if things are not going well, this is only good. Sunday is a great opportunity to show our value again.”

Juventus' road record has been slightly better than their home form, where they have lost one of their 13 -match matches this season.

They also won their last two from the league games against Como and Cagliari and were able to achieve three consecutive victories on the road in the competition for the first time since January last year.

Juve, who has so many victories as draws (each 13) and two losses, has steadily climbed the rankings, but has to increase their game to secure a top-four finish for Champions League qualification, with fifth Lazio placed only one point behind.

Motta also confirmed Francisco Conukicao and Nicolo Savona, who were sidelined with hamstring and thighs respectively, are contrary.
