Underused Barcelona player unlikely to depart in January transfer window

Despite recent reports linking him with a move away from the club, Barcelona midfielder Pablo Torre is likely to end the season with the Catalan giants.

That is the latest information from Matteo Moretto, who explained to Relevo that Torre will likely stay with Hansi Flick despite his lack of appearances. His assessment is that the chance of Torre leaving is 'almost zero'.

Looking ahead, however, Torre will be ready for important contract talks with the club. His current contract expires in 2026, and they will reassess his situation as the summer approaches.

Torre has scored four goals in his nine appearances so far this season and was useful when called up for Flick. This week he was linked with a move to relegation-battling Getafe. The 21-year-old was loaned out to Girona last season, but also struggled for minutes there.
