United receive fresh transfer statement after £40m claim – ‘immediately decided’

Manchester United-linked Zion Suzuki has opened his future, with the Japanese goalkeeper earlier to become a member of the Reds

Parma goalkeeper Zion Suzuki has opened his future after transfer ties with Manchester United. Earlier reports from Talksport claimed that the Reds performed their exploration of the £ 40 million valued keeper.

The Japanese international shone for one side that fights relegation in the Serie A last season in Italy. The 22-year-old made 37 performances in all competitions for Parma and played a key role in their survival campaign.

United corresponded a reimbursement to Urawa Red Diamonds to sign Suzuki on a permanent transfer in the summer of 2023. However, he rejected the move and joined the Belgian side Sint-Truiden.

And the Shot stopper has now had his say about earlier 'rumors' in the midst of the goalkeepers of United with Andre Onana and Altay Bayindir who struggled poorly in Old Trafford.

“I know there were many rumors about me, but I am completely focused on Parma and am prepared to start the season well,” he told Tuttomercatoweb.

“Parma made me a fantastic offer, so I immediately decided to accept this club and become a member of this club. Last year was a chance to grow, and I am really happy with my choice.”

Referring to his first season in Italy, he added: “In the end we achieved our goal, that was to stay in the Serie A. I grew a lot and it was a good season.

“It has taught me the importance of preparation, because only if you train well and in a certain way, can you perform well. First of all, I want to reduce the number of approved goals, because we have admitted a lot last season.

“That is my first personal goal than as a team we want to raise the bar and not just fighting to survive.”
