Arsenal has already closed a deal for Martin Zubimendi, and they are now going to another La Liga star: Cristian Mosquera, who is destined to leave Valencia this summer because his contract ends in 2026.
Mikel Arteta wants Mosquera as an option to compete with William Saliba and Gabriel Maghalaes in his team, and there is a growing optimism that a deal can be closed – this is despite the fact that Arsenal rejected their opening offer last week.
Valencia does not want to lose Mosquera and they have offered him a new contract to ensure that they do not have to cash it in this summer. But as reported by Hector Gomez, the young defender has agreed this proposal because he seems to be a switch to the Premier League.
The same report has been revealed that Arsenal has submitted a second offer to sign Mosquera, but Valencia quickly rejected that. The proposal submitted was only worth € 10 million, where Gomez again made the North London club reached € 14-15 million in no stage, despite reports that otherwise mentioned.
Valencia insists that Mosquera is not allowed to leave unless an offer of € 20 million is received, which means that Arsenal has to pay double to be able to close a deal this summer. This can be difficult to do, since they have already spent € 66 million on Zubimendi, planned with further large movements for a new left wing player and striker.
It is still to be seen whether Mosquera will leave, but Valencia makes it clear that they will not be taken for granted, even though they are in a less than inexpensive situation. Arsenal has been told to increase their offer, and if they don't, they will not sign him this summer.
