UFC women's flying weight champion Valentina Shevchenko circled back on the bet of Manon Fiorot on UFC 315.
Valentina Shevchenko's second UFC Ladies Flying Title Reign started breaking the 12-Vecht winning streak of top candidate Manon Fiorot on UFC 315 on Saturday in Montreal. After Fiorot had some early success against the champion, which left Shevchenko in a number of dangerous positions, the title holder was able to find her rhythm in the mid-rounds and frustrate the challenger.
After a late knockdown and five rounds of exciting action, Shevchenko got the nod on the jury's scorecards by unanimous decision to keep its title. She won the flight weight belt back by beating Alexa Grasso on UFC 306 in September.

Despite the pre-fight chatter between Shevchenko and Fiorot for UFC 315, Shevchenko is willing to give Fiorot a free pass on its earlier pension bet.
Shevchenko Fiorot begged her proposal for the fight during the UFC 315 Post-Fight Press Conference.
“I would like to add one more thing to be very clear,” Shevchenko said, concluded her availability after the fight media.
“Before the fight, Manon said that if she won, I would retire. I answered her that if I won, she would retire. So I don't want her to retire at all, this is what I really don't want to follow her words, because I feel it is unfair for the hunter, because I don't know if anyone should feel it …
“No, no, no. Don't follow your words, please keep fighting.”
Fiorot was unbeaten in her UFC official period before he fell to Shevchenko on UFC 315. She defeated people like it Blanchfield, Rose Namajunas and Katlyn Chookagian when she moved in the UFC Flyweight Title Picture.

UFC CEO Dana White has a potential Shevchenko vs. Weili collision plagued, but nothing has flourished. In the midst of uncertainty about the next title defense of Shevchenko and Weili, the timing is better than ever for a possible booking.
