Vazquez ruled out of Real’s Champions League clash at Man City

Real Madrid has confirmed that Lucas Vazquez will miss their Champions League collision with Manchester City on Tuesday due to a hamstring injury.

Vazquez was replaced by Luka Modric in the 81st minute during their La Liga meeting with Rivals Atletico Madrid on Saturday, a match that ended 1-1.

The Spaniard has recorded 30 games in all matches this season and registered two goals and five assists in those performances for Real.

And the injury of Vazquez Hands Carlo Ancelotti another defensive problem, with people like Eder Militao, Dani Carvajal, David Alaba and Antonio Rudiger too.

Prior to their collision at the Etihad Stadium, the Laliga leaders only have Raul Asensio as a recognized middle back, alongside full-backs Fran Garcia and Ferland Mendy.

“After tests performed by the Real Madrid Medical Services at Luke Vazquez today, he was diagnosed with a muscle injury in his left hamstring,” Real said in a statement.

“He will not be in the team to travel to Manchester,” added the Champions League holders.
