Real Betis is determined to sign Man United Winger Antony again after his successful loan spell in Spain last season.
Real Betis Sporting Director Manu Fajardo is convinced that they will be able to re -sign Manchester United -Wing player Antony in this summer's transfer window – but has admitted that the deal will not be easy to complete.
The Brazilian spent the second half of last season on loan in the La Liga Club and scored nine goals and registered five assists in 26 performances.
Antony, who came from Ajax almost three years ago, is one of the three players who have identified the Reds as a priority sale this summer. United has to sell him for £ 32.58 million to prevent a loss under the profit and sustainability rules of the Premier League (PSR).
Betis has made no secret of their interest in signing the winger for the second time, but Chief Executive Ramon Alarcon, in May, said they would try to sign him again in a loan. Whether they still give priority to another loan agreement above a permanent switch, Fajardo believes that they will find a way to close a deal.
“We must all be aware that this is a very complex operation,” Fajardo told Estadio Deportivo. “Given the level of the player and his recent career at Real Betis, it is not an easy transaction.
“But as long as Antony has not promised a third party, we will play our cards with the greatest humility to choose Antony.
“I am on it, even though this is a complex operation, we will try to perform it in different ways without endangering the club. In the end, the most important thing is the sustainability of the club.
“We will try to be creative, as we have been in the past, so that Antony can be here. Today the market is open, as I said before, it is very dynamic and we are part of that game.”
Antony has made no secret of his interest in a return to betis, and that is no surprise to Fajardo.
He added: “I am not surprised (Antony wants to return to Betis). And I would like to use this opportunity to emphasize the work that Real Betis does as a whole, in all departments.
“When a player arrives here and has such an immediate impact, that is no coincidence. It is the result of the work, the sacrifice and the seriousness of everyone involved every day. Not only so that Antony can perform his best and do his best, but that all players who join Betis can reach their Prime.”
