‘Very limited as a boxer’…. Conor McGregor vs Logan Paul predicted by former world champion who fought Canelo Alvarez

Conor McGregor will be backed to beat Logan Paul if they fight.

On Tuesday, the former two-weight UFC champion shocked the world when he revealed he was “in tentative agreements” for his comeback fight.

'Notorious' claimed he would fight YouTuber-WWE star Logan Paul in an exhibition boxing match to be held in India next year.

Now a former world champion boxer has backed Conor McGregor to make easy work of 'The Maverick', who has previously boxed Floyd Mayweather, Dillon Danis and KSI.

Amir Khan analyzes Conor McGregor vs. Logan Paul

Amir Khan was the unified light welterweight champion during the height of his career, which included fights with Canelo Alvarez, Terence Crawford and Marcos Maidana.

The 38-year-old Brit believes that even though McGregor will be the smaller man, he would make it look relatively easy if his fight with the older Paul brother materializes.

“That's not a bad fight for Conor because Conor is actually a big guy,” Khan told The Sports Daily.

“When I faced him, he was normally only 10 pounds heavier than me, and he didn't fight weight. But he's huge, he's fat. So I think he should walk into the ring around 175 anyway. If that fight is made at heavyweight, I think Conor will be fine.

“If you look at Logan's Mayweather fight, he went into the ring and beat him, so I'm sure Conor could do the same. I don't think Logan is as good as Jake [Paul]. I think Jake is the better of the two.

“Even though he's a little heavier, I still think he's very beatable.

“Conor McGregor by knockout because Logan is very limited as a boxer. He doesn't hit as hard as Jake, and his skills aren't as good as Jake's.

Amir Khan says Conor McGregor should fight Jake Paul

The boxer, who retired in 2022, says he would prefer to see the UFC's biggest star Jake Paul return to the ring for a while since being knocked out by Floyd Mayweather in his debut in 2017.

'The Problem Child' has amassed an 11-1 professional boxing record defeating faded MMA legends. Paul recently shared the ring with 58-year-old former heavyweight boxing champion Mike Tyson.

Khan added: “I think if it was with Jake it would be a lot bigger. Because if you look at Logan, he's taken losses, and he hasn't really looked great in fights. Jake is a bigger fight commercially.

“I think Conor and Jake will do better because they are both good talkers and both work hard when they are at a press conference. That would be great.

“The amount of nonsense they would talk to each other would be enormous. While Logan is on the quiet side. The silent child.”

Jake Paul has reacted to the news that his brother may fight McGregor.

The 27-year-old claimed he had also been approached about McGregor's boxing before revealing he would only enter negotiations if UFC boss Dana White was involved.

“Now it all makes sense why Conor McGregor and his management team have been desperately trying to get MVP to negotiate a fight between us,” Jake Paul wrote on X to his 4.7 million followers.

“As we told them privately and I'm saying it publicly now… The only way we are willing to explore me versus Conor in a professional boxing/MMA fight is if Dana White/UFC sits directly at the table or makes it clear that they are ok with discussions.

'Conor has been washed. Needs the Paul. Logan does it the way he wants.”
