Last Saturday (April 5) the Pestana CR7 Hotel in Marrakech, Morocco, was hit by a fire. According to the hotel group, the necessary measures are to ensure the safety of customers and staff immediately. The site did not have to be evacuated.

According to the Portuguese newspaper A Bola, the flames on the site were extinguished by emergency teams. No injuries were reported.

According to the Morocco World News website, the incident was included as a small fire, which was quickly checked thanks to the reaction of hotel staff and emergency services, which ensured that the Flames were carefully extinguished.

The Pestana CR7 hotel chain has six units all over the world. Two in Portugal (Funchal and Lisbon), and one in Spain (Madrid), France (Paris), Morocco (Marrakech) and England (Manchester).

In 2023 the property in Morocco was used as a hiding place for tourists and residents after an earthquake in September.
