Spain Media Relo Report, there is absolute confidence that the works will be completed on time. The heavy rainfall in Seville in March delayed the deadlines.
The clock ticks. Real Madrid and Barcelona insured their place in the Copa del Rey -final after eliminating Real Sociedad and Atlético de Madrid … and they are already thinking of the derby that will decide the knockout tournament. Another title, another one, will be disputed by two clubs currently on the Treble. The location that it will host will be the La Cartuja Stadium, a field that has evoked doubts in the past month due to the delay in construction work that should have been completed according to schedule.
The weather of Sevilla, however, has turned everything upside down. March has been a month of important rain in the Andalusian capital, which significantly influences the stadium construction. And although official sources confirmed the middle of the month that the peat would be laid on April 1, it was only in the morning of the 3rd that they started giving the ground in La Cartuja.
Nevertheless, there is a lot of confidence that the stadium will be ready for the big event on time. Louzán himself visited it a few weeks ago and was also optimistic about the deadlines: “We are all looking forward to all the work that is completed and well completed. I want to thank all the authorities for their sensitivity to the RFEF. I thought the rain could hinder the progress of the works, but I see it goes well.”
As we reported in Relo last year, the work in La Cartuja would be completed in March, and this information was re -confirmed at the start of the same month. However, the recent rains have influenced those deadlines and changed the plan. “Strictly sticking to the planned deadlines, which established the completion of the project at the end of March, sufficiently in advance to meet the agendaous obligations and the arrival of Real Betis Balompié.”
But despite the rain and the delays … Trust remains intact. At La Cartuja they are convinced that the stadium will be in perfect condition for the important competition on 26 April, as well as the RFEF. The turf is already in place and it is a process that should not last too long. Even some people from the Isla de la Cartuja area, where the field is located, gave their optimism for relevant. The final of Copa del Rey seems clear for the time being.
