Arsenal pursues a blockbuster -deal for RB Leipzig -striker Benjamin Sesko, but a turn in their striving to the Slovenia star could see them turn back to Viktor Gyokeres
Van Viktor Gyokeres is known for promoting a move to Arsenal this summer over all other lovers – and the Swede could still get his wish in the midst of claiming that the Gunners are being frustrated in their pursuit of Benjamin Sesko.
Arsenal has identified their no. 1 priority this summer with Gyokees and Sesko, the signing of a quality editor as their two main goals. Both are expected to leave their respective clubs, but nothing has been agreed with both players if things stand out.
Although Gyoke, 27, is known to want a move to Arsenal, the indications are that Sesko is the desired target of the club.
But with the Sun report that Arsenal is frustrated about the contract that the player demands during the conversations, it is still to be seen whether a deal will be closed.
Sesko, 22, would cost around £ 70 million: an amount that it is said to be prepared to pay the Slovenia star.
But with the contract of the player who expected the levels that Arsenal expected, that could possibly open the door for Gyokeres to land his dream summer movement.
Mirror Football outlined last week that Andrea Berta, the new sports director of Arsenal, worked on deals for both Gyokees and Sesko to keep both roads open, although the club will only sign one of them.
Aston Villas Ollie Watkins also still plays in the game, after the last attempt by the Gunners to land him in the last phases of the January transfer window.

For Gyokeres, his hope for securing a blockbuster transfer to the Premier League is hindered by a breakdown in relationships with Sporting Lisbon, who, according to his agent, agreed to sell the striker for less than his release clause.
Instead of selling him for the € 60 million plus € 10 million in add-ons (£ 51 million plus £ 8.5 million) that was 'agreed' between the club and his agent, it is clear that sporting will wants at least € 80 million (£ 68 million) for their starman.
Gyokeres has other options on the table and is also strongly connected to Manchester United. However, he rejected a lucrative proposal from Juventus after the Italian giants had published a contract worth £ 11 million a year during conversations about a possible relocation to Turin.
