Sporting Lisbon -striker Viktor Gyokeres leaves Portugal in the summer transfer window, but his destination remains uncertain, with Manchester United and Arsenal in competition
Manchester United and Arsenal have now had a blow with a third club in the race to sign Viktor Gyokeres in the summer transfer window. Sporting Lisbon striker Gyokeres is one of the most sought after players when the window will open on 1 June.
The Sweden International has registered 43 goals and 11 assists in 43 games in all games for sport this season. The Portuguese side knows that they cannot hold him much longer and would have agreed to sell it for under his release clause as a thank you for his excellent service.
It is believed that it will be available for around £ 50-60 million-in-law than his reported release clause of £ 83.6 million. United -manager Ruben Amorim worked with Gyokeres at Sporting and is understandably wanted to recruit Old Trafford, where goals were hard to find.
