Earlier this year, Real Madrid striker Vini. JR together with rap legend and successful businessman Jay-Z became part of a consortium that took over the control over Portuguese side Futebol Clube de Alverca.
The club comes from the city of Alverca de Ribatejo about 30 km from the Portuguese capital Lisbon and they are currently playing at the 8,000 capacity Estadio Complexo Desportivo do FC Alverca and will play in the top flight next season.
A 2-1 win over Portimonense insured Automatic promotion for the club with the performance celebrated by Vini who shared his joy via social media with a “Vamos/ Let's Go !!!!!!!!!” Post as FC Alverca returns for the first time in more than 20 years to the upper table of Portuguese football.

VinÃcius was supported in the Alverca company by Bureau ROC Nation Sports Brazil, founded with ROC Nation by North American rapper Jay-Z in 2008.
The deal for the club was reportedly close to the 10 million euro marking with negotiations between ROC Nation directly with Ricardo Vicintin, the 75-year-old Brazilian businessman who has been the majority shareholder of the club since July 2022 who has 77% of the capital of the SAD (Limited Sproting Company).
FC Alverca, founded in 1939, flew between the second layer and the lower competitions with the club that suffers bankruptcy in 2005. In 2021 the club returned to the Second Division and time will learn whether El Más Grande del Ribatejo (as the club is known) will be able to survive with playing Benfica, Sporting, Braga and FC Porto.
