After the Big Champions League Playoff first leg win in Manchester, the Brazilian spoke about his future in Spain, with Saudi interest high.
Vinicius, who spoke with TNT after the 3-2 victory of Real Madrid over Manchester City, left no doubt about his dedication to the club.
“It is very exciting to be able to start discussions with Real Madrid about my contract extension.
“My current deal runs until 2027, but I always said that I want to play here for a long time, make history and feel the love of the fans next to the president and coaching staff,” he said.
Vini focused on Madrid's stay
“God prepared, negotiations will be resolved in the coming days, and I will be able to stay here much longer,” he added, making it clear that a renewal is very much on the table.
Asked by Movistar about a possible offer from Saudi Arabia, the Brazilian distanced himself from any speculation about leaving Madrid. “I know nothing, nobody spoke with me,” he said.
