Vitor Reis: Man City reach £29.4m agreement in principle to sign 19-year-old Palmeiras defender

Manchester City have reached an in-principle deal for £29.4million to sign defender Vitor Reis from Palmeiras.

There will be no bonuses included in the deal and the final details will be ironed out this morning.

Sky Sports News reported that a number of clubs – including Brighton in the Premier League – had gathered information on the 19-year-old, who now looks set to link up with Pep Guardiola in the January transfer window.

Palmeiras president Leila Pereira confirmed that City made an official offer for the player on Monday and that an agreement in principle has now been reached.

Palmeiras has always been relaxed about the situation after selling a host of talents to Europe for big sums over the past 18 months, including Endrick to Real Madrid and Willian Estevao to Chelsea.
