Waddle suggests Pogba should ignore Man Utd links: He’s never really done it

Pogba was initially suspended for four years after the World Cup winner tested positive for doping, but his ban was reduced to 18 months. The 32-year-old is currently without a club after leaving Juventus as reports grow and suggest that he can move back to Old Trafford to go to the midfield of United.

Speaking with 10bet Waddle believes, however, that this would be the wrong step for the Frenchman, because it never worked completely in the Premier League while he was with the Red Devils.

“He never really did it in England, he, Paul? He came on stage and he looked the role and went to Italy.

“I think that kind of football suits him. A bit slower, it's not a box-to-box, it's more patient. Weather conditions sometimes dictate the pace abroad. The sun, the heat.

“I think he was more suitable for that kind of game than at the bustle of England. For me, France would be a good move for me and of course the Italian competition would be a good move for him. I think he is most suitable for one of those two competitions.”

Manager Ruben Amorim is planned for a huge rebuilding of his team this summer with various players who are said to leave. If the Portuguese manager wants to improve his midfield, he may look at Pogba, which is both a talented assets and cheap that adheres to the current cost -saving policy of the club. After the Waddle words, however, Pogba can be put off while he is looking for a new club for the next season.
