KYLE WALKER watched from the stands as his AC Milan teammates staged a dramatic second leg against Parma – and then started fighting among themselves.
Tijjani Reijnders and Samuel Chukwueze scored in injury time to give Milan a nerve-wracking 3-2 win on Sunday afternoon.
Walker is loaned out to the Rossoneri from Manchester City for the rest of the season.
The English full-back watched the visit of relegation-threatened Parma from the terraces of San Siro.
Milan were below par for much of the match and went into injury time trailing 2-1.
After Strahinja Pavlovic's goal was disallowed for offside, Reijnders and then Chukwueze caused panic in the Italian capital.
But despite the initial euphoria, tempers flared on the field after the final whistle.
Davide Calabria was confronted by his own manager Sergio Conceicao, who had run onto the pitch.
The Portuguese boss protested to the AC captain, with the pair exchanging shoves.
Milan's players quickly intervened, but Conceicao continued to gesture and shout at his skipper.
One stunned fan wrote on X: “Calabria has been a Milan player since birth. Conceicao will leave after the season. I support my captain.”
Another said: “Everyone is going against Calabria. I'm not his biggest fan but this doesn't look good. The coach shouldn't be behaving like this.”
While a third added: “I stand by my captain. He told it [Conceica] I bet I'll use better tactics.”
But a fourth replied: 'Take him to Milan [B team].”
Calabria, who plays in Walker's right-back position, has been with Milan since he was nine.
He became captain two years ago and has made more than 270 appearances for the club.
Conceicao took off Calabria during Sunday's comeback and replaced him with striker Luka Jovic as Milan chased the match with 13 minutes left.
The 28-year-old apologized emotionally after the arguments on the field.
Calabria said: “Honestly, these are things that happen on the pitch: a misunderstanding between the two of us, we cared a lot about this match.
“The adrenaline was quite high and we cleared things up. We just didn't understand something between us. We resolved it.
“It won't be the first or the last time something like this happens. It happens often in football.
“I also apologize because it is not nice. The most important thing is the team and turning the game around.”
Tensions are rising at Milan after a poor season in Serie A.
The club are currently sixth in the table after Sunday's victory, 19 points behind leaders Napoli.
Milan won only 9 of its 21 league games and regularly dropped points.
After his arrival on Friday. Walker has chosen the number 32 shirt as a tribute to David Beckham.
The 34-year-old trained with his new teammates on Saturday after completing his loan move.
After sealing his new adventure in Milan, Walker said: “I picked number 32 for David Beckham.
“Tammy [Abraham] told me to come. He helped me make a decision.
“The Milan fans here are incredible. When you hear them sing it will be emotional.”
