[WATCH] Gonzalo Garcia strikes again as Real Madrid lead Dortmund

Real Madrid has protected a perfect start to their FIFA Club World Cup Quarter -final against Borussia Dortmund.

Xabi Alonso chose to stick to an unchanged starting line of the last 16 win over Juventus, despite the return to full fitness of Kylian Mbappe.

The call to keep Mbappe on the couch meant another start for people of the moment that Gonzalo Garcia and the rising star again justified the faith of his manager.

Garcia went home the winner against Juventus in the previous round and sent his fourth goal from the tournament home on the 10 minutes.

The charges of Alonso dominated the opening phase in New Jersey and Garcia showed his instincts in the Dortmund -Penalty box when he switched his marker to send Arda Guler's crossed cross up close.

So far, Garcia has been a constant threat to the Alonso team in the Metlife Stadium, and a goal is just a reward for his strong show, where Alexander-Arnold registered his second assist to the competition.

The former Liverpool -defender opened his assist account as a Real Madrid player with a cross for Gonzalo's goal vs. Juventus in the previous round.
