Barcelona have drawn to 1-1 in their crucial La Liga clash with Atletico Madrid.
On a crucial evening in Catalonia, both sides are fighting for the right to lead in early 2025, with Barcelona ahead only on goal difference before kick-off.
The hosts dominated the first half, with Los Rojiblancos keeping them at bay until the 30th minute.
Spain international Pedri calmly put the hosts ahead as reward for their strong start to the match.
However, the second half turned within two crucial minutes of the hour mark as Raphinha's clever chip rebounded off Atletico Madrid's crossbar.
That proved to be the warning Atletico Madrid needed as Julian Alvarez broke clear and his cut-back fell to Rodrigo De Paul on the edge of the penalty area – allowing the Argentine to curl home the equalizer.
A draw remains on the table as Real Madrid can end 2024 as a shock leader if they beat Sevilla tomorrow in their final match of 2024.
