WATCH: Stunning strike gets Rayo Vallecano back to within one goal of Real Madrid

Real Madrid ran in a lead of two goals in their La Liga collision against Rayo Vallecano, but just before the break the visitors have a goal back in the Santiago Bernabeu.

It was Kylian Mbappe who scored for Real Madrid in the half hour, and only a few minutes later it went 2-0 when Vinicius Junior found the back of the net after a nice solo goal. But now Rayo has succeeded in getting on the score sheet, and also in a style, because Pedro Diaz has fired an unstoppable attempt along Andriy Lunin through the bar.

It is a brilliant goal of Diaz, whose effort from the edge of the Lunin box gave no chance. It was originally not given because La Liga has no goal line technology in operation, but after a VAR Rayo could celebrate.

A victory for Real Madrid will see them go above Athleti in the La Liga table after their defeat to get earlier in the day, and so far they are on track for this. However, that goal for peace will cause some doubts.
