In UFC London on Saturday the teammate of Tom Aspinall, Mick Parkin, suffered the first defeat of his career after somewhat controversial scoring.
When the UFC touches in London, Tom Aspinall is usually a guaranteed fixture on the map, but this time it was not included.
And that is because the interim -heavyweight champion continues to wait for a title Unification Fight against Jones, with the match still in negotiations.
Despite that, Aspinall was present in the O2 -Arena as his undefeated teammate, Mick Parkin took on Marcin Tybura in the biggest fight of his career to date.

Tom Aspinall's bewildered reaction hear the Parkin vs Tybura -result
Unfortunately, the UFC London Card contained various controversial assessments with the heavyweight fight as one of them.
The first round between Parkin and Tybura, however, was a narrow, however, in round two, apparently Parkin took the pressure and even came close to the veteran finish.
Again, the third round was a relatively dense, but the majority of the UFC fan base believes that Parkin did enough to achieve it.
Was watching the fight in the front row, Aspinall gave a bewildered reaction when the result was read by Bruce Buffer, and claimed that Parkin did enough not to win three rounds or won two of the rounds.
“I think he won it, I think he won two rounds to one, if not all three, I think he might have lost the first, but he got the second two,” Aspinall started explaining immediately after the fight.
“Oh no, man. I thought Mick won. I thought Mick won it. That's MMA, I don't know, I thought Mick won,” a surprised Aspinall responded as soon as Buffer read the result.
Shortly thereafter, the interim champion Backstage went to join his teammate and to get his immediate thoughts about the fight.
“I thought you won it, but maybe I was biased,” Aspinall told Parkin.
“Yes, I did it, but it's experience, right?” Parkin replied.
“I think you really did well, this was finished – – solid step up, absolutely no joke … I think you really did it well, he's not a joke.
“When I heard that it was a unanimous decision 29-28 I had something like:” Oh Mick all day “, I had something like that, there is no chance that it is not possible (a Parkin victory),” Aspinall continued.
Aspinall left behind due to the loss of Leon Edwards against Sean Brady
Although Aspinall is not a teammate with Leon Edwards, the two British experienced their rise to the top at the same time and shared the UFC 304 event together in Manchester and became good friends.
Unfortunately for the British crowd, Edwards was dominated by Sean Brady in the main event and then lost in the fourth round through the entry.
Together with the O2 -that started to overflow from the Arena early, Aspinall was left behind by the second loss of Edwards in a row.
“Sean Brady's domination, stripped for Leon, stripped for him. The whole place goes, look away from everyone. I want to leave myself,” Aspinall responded to the loss of Leon.
