Atletico Madrid made a dream start to the second stage of their draw against Real Madrid while they scored within a minute, and they stayed in the front after the visitors had missed a glorious opportunity to continue again.
It was a sensational start before the side of Diego Simeone, who scored after 27 seconds thanks to a close-range finish by Conor Gallagher, who preferred Samuel Lino in the Startline-up of Atleti. In the 70th minute, Real Madrid received a penalty after an error from Clement Lenglet on Kylian Mbappe, but the effort of 12 yards was brought over the bar by Vinicius Junior.
Real Madrid has had problems this season from the penalty spot. Mbappe missed twice, and perhaps this was the reason that Vinicius had the chance to score, but it is one that he absolutely wasted, with the effort high and wide.
