Wayne Rooney mocked by Gary Lineker live on air after revealing surprising phobia

The half-time analysis of Brighton vs Nottingham Forest took an unusual turn when Gary Lineker took the time to reveal a former Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney

Gary Lineker exposed Wayne Rooney's fear of fish live on television during BBC's FA Cup coverage of Brighton vs Nottingham Forest. The former Manchester United and Everton Forward had service to provide his expert analysis to the procedure, but soon noticed that he defended a phobia for the rest of the studio and fans at home.

At the field at the Amex Stadium, Nottingham Forest was able to dominate penalties after a scoreless 120 minutes. Although extra time saw some excitement and a not -insan goal, the whole of the game was not always as exciting as the last moments.

The opening for 45 minutes saw a CAGY affair and it seems that attention was paid somewhere else in the course of the game, even for those present. And Lineker was certainly not afraid of what Rooney had revealed in the attention of the public.

After returning action on the field for the break, the day anchor competition thought to announce what he had learned in Sussex. Rooney quickly kept rubbing his legs awkwardly.

“We still have little time to talk, it was not the most fascinating first half, but what we have learned before was in the first half that Wayne Rooney is afraid of fish,” said Lineker. “Tell us about that fear of Fish Wayne.”

Theo Walcott and Glenn Murray did not stab their laughter, because Rooney also offered a sheepish grinning. “I just don't like them,” he offered.

Lineker, however, quickly left the ex-England off the hook of the hook record. The veteran broadcaster tried to explain his interrogation line.

“I only say it because we are only three or four miles off the coast here,” Lineker added. “It's the big fish,” Rooney tried to clarify. “I like fishing.”

Prior to the game, Rooney had criticized that Nottingham Forest Boss Nuno Espirito Santo's decision to leave Anthony Elanga and Callum Hudson-Odoi on the couch.

“I am shocked,” the Legend of Manchester United told BBC Sport after the teams were announced. “The FA Cup is such a prestige tournament and to let players rest in a quarterfinals …

“They try to get Champions League football, but as a player you want to play and try to get.

However, the former manager of Birmingham and Plymouth Argyle was not afraid to return after the progress of Forest. “You have to give Nuno some credit,” he admitted.

“We said that before the game we thought he made a mistake to let some players rest, but if they continue, you have to give them credit.”
