It has been an excellent season for Barcelona, and that continued on Tuesday with a slender victory over Mallorca who clearly placed them seven points above La Liga – although that gorge will be reduced to four as a real Madrid defeat on Wednesday.
Barcelona is very much at the steering place to win La Liga, and this weekend they can continue the good feelings while they are confronted with Real Madrid in the Copa del Rey final. And on top of this they are also in the semi -final of the Champions League, where they will meet in Inter Milan in the coming weeks.
Barcelona hopes to end the season by winning all three games, and according to President Joan Laporta (via Diario AS) they have a very good chance of achieving this goal.
“The atmosphere is fantastic. People are very enthusiastic and this is very nice to see. What Barcelona fans have to do is our coach and our players trust. I am convinced that under the guidance of Hansi Flick and this talent that the players have placed, we have a chance for a Treble.
“I want to thank our players and a masterful coach as Hansi film for what they let us enjoy. But we have to keep our feet on the floor and be wise.”
Head coach Hansi Flick van Barcelona has very happy to have rejected a conversation about a possible Treble, and he takes things one game at the same time. But a victory this weekend would certainly increase the hope that it can be done, although there is still a lot of work that must be completed before it becomes reality.
