King Green looked to put the momentum of a rising star in the lightweight division in his first outing of 2025.
The 50-Fight veteran is no stranger to be linked to 155 pound contenders who are looking for the ranking by beating it.
In one of his most impressive UFC performances, Green Grant Dawson put in the first round to prove that he is still incredibly dangerous.
The story was honored in his journey to Manchester for UFC 304 in July, where it was green that was finished by Paddy Pimblett in the opening round.
In a second consecutive loss, Green was eliminated by Mauricio Ruffy on UFC 313, where the Brazilian produced a stunning spinning wheel shovel to get the main map going.

Despite the suffering of one of the most devastating losses of his career, King Green showed his veteran status when he was incredibly respectful after the fight.
He seemed to be good when leaving the Octagon and that approach was reflected in his first explanation that he sent via social media.
Green posted a video on his Instagram story where he gave Mauricio Ruffy credit, thanked the fans for their support and promised to be back in the near future.
After achieving two huge wins and ends at Tony Ferguson and Grant Dawson, the 38-year-old three of his last four lost through the first round finishes.
“This is the game we play. There are victories, there are losses, that's how it goes, you know? Shout for Ruffy, you did your thing brother. I would like to see that you are successful in your future, Obrigado, and shout at anyone who rocked with me and got through this whole thing.

Although King Green may not be in the ranking, he is still about to have a number next to his name at 155 pounds after he has lost his place after his loss against Paddy Pimblett.
With three victories in a row, Mauricio Ruffy has proven to be an incredibly exciting lightweight competition who then deserves a big spotlight.
Another lightweight contender in the turnout also achieved the biggest victory of his career at the UFC 313 head card when Ignacio Bahamonde's Jalin Turner submitted.
