Roy Keane joked that former teammate of Manchester United David Beckham “forgot” to invite him in the weekend for his 50th birthday party littered with stars, while Gary Neville admitted that he was “the best” not the best “.
Beckham turned 50 last Friday and marked the opportunity with a dinner in Central London.
The family of the English legend and best friends were all present in the Three Michelin Star Restaurant Core on Saturday.
Eva Longoria, Tom Cruise and Gordon Ramsay were among those on the guest list.
Neville also enjoyed the occasion – and was depicted outside the Restaraunt after the party.
The former United Defender was asked about the party by Jill Scott in the last episode of The Stick to Football Podcast, offered to you by Skybet.
The United Icon continued to say: “It was before Sunday's game, I was not the best on Sunday”, before he revealed that he left at 3:30 am.
Only a few hours later he appeared at Stamford Bridge to cover the Premier League meeting of Chelsea with Liverpool.
Neville was reportedly the only ex-man UTD player invited to the party.
It led Keane to make jokes: “Did he forget all his other teammates? Were we not good enough? Know what I mean …”
Neville immediately replied: “It is because you did not invite us to your 50th.”
But the former Ireland International replied: “You know my 50th, it was with the Pizza Express in Altrincham.”
He then hit back with: “I didn't want you there,” when Neville said he would be present.
In addition to the party, Beckham marked his 50th birthday with a family gathering at his £ 10 million Cotswolds Mansion, a black tie Bash in Miami and a trip to France.
His children – Romeo, 22, Cruz, 20 and Harper, 13 – were with every celebration, just like his wife, Victoria, 51.
The eldest son of Beckham, Brooklyn, 26, was, however, absent in the midst of rumors about a family.
