The hammers and a much -changed Tottenham played one of the after all London derby's in living memory.
There was no spark, no fight and not even a full-house in the stands.
The side of Graham Potter has nothing to play for, but the fact that he cannot get them for this game – especially after a seven run without a victory – is reason for concern.
Ange Postecoglou, on the other hand, will be happy that he has avoided a record 20th defeat of the season and has safely navigated their way along an uncomfortable game between two European semi -final.
The Aussie made eight changes of the victory of Thursday evening and simply wanted the afternoon without incidents.
And past Jarrod Bowen, whose goal has canceled the opener of Wilson Odobert, West Ham did nothing about their rivals.
Potter had irritated a number of home fans by wishing Spurs well in Europe prior to this game and sometimes his players rolled out the red carpet for them.
For a feeling of the apathy that wasted West Ham this season, you only had to look at the stands here.

The Brazilian had a terrible day and even started crying after he was shown a yellow card for a clear error on Spurs Sub Mikey Moore.
It was again a boring day in a bad season for the midfielder, who is still playing under the cloud of a FA investigation into allegations of spot-fixing.
Potter made sweep changes, but saw no advantage, while Spurs now just tapped – Pape Sarr went off to reach and just put one left.
West Ham had no energy or inspiration, Tottenham was happy to save theirs for Thursday.
It was still only Bowen who refused to accept the point for the hosts and the skipper saw a bending head well saved by Vicario.
James Ward-Prowse was waved in a dangerous free kick to set up that chance and also to whistle an effort just from the pole of a dead ball in the dying minutes.
Potter has warned that he is ready to make enormous changes to the team this summer.
It would be difficult to argue against selling everyone except Bowen about the proof of such games.
