West Ham ‘approached by Juventus over swap deal involving two centre-backs’

West Ham and Juventus are reportedly in discussions about a potential swap deal.

Both parties want to tackle their defensive shortcomings this summer and the SWAP can suit both parties.

According to Sky, Juve is enthusiastic about the 29-year-old Moroccan defender Nayef Aguerd.

Aguerd joined the hammers in a deal of £ 30 million in 2022 and made 58 performances for two seasons before he was sent on loan to Real Sociedad for the 2024-25 campaign.

The London club can be willing to give up the player, but wants Daniele Rugani in exchange.

Rugani came to Juventus in 2012, but never completely succeeded in guaranteeing a regular starting role.

The 30-year-old at that time had Leen Proverbs with four different clubs and spent last season at Ajax.

He is currently with the old lady at the Club World Cup, but was left on the couch for the 5-0 opening victory on Al-Inain.

Bayer Leverkusen and Marseille are also linked to a move for Aguerd this summer.

Real Sociedad would also like to sign Aguerd on loan, but West Ham would prefer a permanent deal if the 29-year-old was considered surplus by Graham Potter.
